Waldo’s Wings was founded in 1991 as the first wing joint in Winston-Salem. Originally owned by Jackie Phipps, a good friend to Chris and Zoe Michael, Waldo’s made a name in the community for serving the hottest wings and coldest beer. In 2015, the Michael Family purchased the existing Waldo’s Wings location and vowed to keep alive the tradition that Jackie built, making Waldo’s a community staple. The walls remain adorned with NASCAR memorabilia and Joe Camel artwork, keeping the vibe of a relaxed, neighborhood spot with top tier eats. Everything from buffalo wings with signature butter or cheese bread, juicy burgers, and even flavorful salads, Waldo’s has something for everyone. Waldo’s hand picks their chicken wings to ensure you get the best of the best when it comes to quality. To this day, the Michael family honors the nostalgia of Waldo’s by maintaining the recipes and integrity of the original Waldo’s Wings.
